“Enterprise in Logistics Research: Matching the needs of industry with academia” – Call for Papers

The 19th Annual Conference of The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, “Logistics Research Network” will take place from the 3rd to 5th September 2014 at the Business School, University of Huddersfield, UK.
The Conference accepts papers from a broad base of research and practice in relation to the operation of logistics and supply chains in all sectors. Papers can be of a strategic focus, or covering aspects of marketing, logistics and information technology, economics, management and organisational behaviour relevant to logistics and supply chain management.
(A list of potential themes is provided at the end of this document)
Papers are invited on both completed work and ongoing projects in any aspect of logistics and supply chain management with an emphasis on creating social, economic and/or environmental value. Papers can be focused on theoretical analyses, and/or presenting results from practitioner case studies. “Insights from Industry” provided by leading practitioners are especially welcome.
Authors wishing to prepare a paper for the conference are now invited to submit a 400 – 500 word abstract for consideration by the organising committee.

Abstracts should be sent to lrn2014@hud.ac.uk, to be received by 1200 hrs on Friday 4th April 2014.
All authors will be informed by Friday 2nd May 2014 whether their paper has been accepted. We would advise accepted authors to book and pay for their conference place as soon as possible after this date to avoid disappointment.
Final papers need to be received by Friday 13th June 2014.
